Episode 2 – The Dreamer and The Designer
Today we wanted to take some time to just let you know a little bit more about who we are as people and as a company. So, we thought the best way to do that would be to interview each other.
Dana: Welcome to the Dreamer and the Designer. I’m the Dreamer, Dana.
Chris: …and I’m the designer, Chris.
Dana: Today, we wanted to take some time to just let you know a little bit more about who we are as people and as a company. So, we thought the best way to do that would be to interview each other. So, I have the first question for Chris. Chris, why design?
Chris: That’s a big one! Let’s see the thing that comes to my mind pretty quickly is organization, I like to organize things. To beautify, make things look good and to help people. So when you organize in web development you take photos, text, video and you put them all on the site and try to come up with a very organized and sensible way to present the information. But, then you need to make it pretty because something that doesn’t look good is not going to keep the audience engaged. And to help people– when you organize and make something look good you are then encouraging the end user, so the website visitor and you help the client use their website as a tool. At the end of the day you are helping people intake information.
Dana: Yeah so it’s all like super important stuff and I feel like sometimes with you it’s all like you see it all here and when you are able to make that a reality it’s completely brilliant and wonderful. And I’m not just saying that because I’m your wife!
Chris: And so I’m going to turn that question around on you and that is: Why Dream?
Dana: Why not dream? I have always been the kind of person that is driven by my dreams. I find that I am not living if I’m not dreaming. If I am not able to see things in my mind that could be and then try to make them come into being then I’m like “hmmm what’s up with that?” and usually that means I have to go for a run or reset. So it really is my life blood and kind of what makes me who I am.
Chris: I get that. I really say that of the two of us, you really are the more creative and it is that dreaming that really gets the creativity flowing.
Dana: So this is just our introductory of asking each other questions and interviewing so I’m hoping that as we continue with these episodes, you can learn more about us.
